On Friday the 13th of November the ‘Top of the World’ BSA handover was held at Q1 to introduce the next Business Students Association. This was the crescendo finish to months of hard campaigning and the start of three semesters in office for those candidates who were to be elected. A lot of hype surrounded the two teams, iBond and Stimulate, and the one independent Chris Kellogg. The tone was set from the moment people arrived at level 78 with the ambient lighting and the man with the golden voice Tom Webster behind the microphone and acoustic guitar.
After a lengthy wait finally it was time to appoint the new BSA team and cement the handover. The strength of the iBond ticket led to an entire ticket being installed for 2010. iBond offering a wide spectrum of new and refined policies that will help sync the entire business school as one conglomerate.
The new BSA team had their first meeting in office on Monday and discussed several areas for future events in the business faculty. The work of the BSA has already begun with the first business breakfast which was held on Monday the 23rd of November which served as a great event for students to meet the newly elected BSA.
The emphasis for this new enthusiastic group is to unite all the faculties under the one umbrella and thus capitalise on untapped resources throughout the university. Overall, the new team that composes students with a range of different experiences and expertise look in good sted to really bring about a change that will help the entire Business school to sync, work and play.
